Morocco Trek 2024 in aid of Velindre

They made it! Rhod has just led a trek for Velindre, hiking up the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains; up the 4167 metre (13,671ft) Mount Toubkal in Morocco to raise money for Velindre Fundraising.

Rhod has been a patron for Velindre for over ten years and has completed five previous fundraising treks.

Rhod says: “When I say ‘leading’…I’m always at the back. To say this one is special is an understatement. It’s always an amazing experience; fun, interesting, moving and inspiring, but this time I can add in the fact that I literally owe Velindre my life. It’s thanks to the skill of my doctors, Velindre and the wonderful NHS, that I was able to do this. I’m feeling great and determined to keep raising as much money as I can, for as long as I can”.
