RHOD TO CLIMB MOUNT KILIMANJARO
In September Rhod will be part of a team attempting to trek 19,340 ft. to the roof of Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for Velindre Cancer Centre in Wales.
He’s performed in front of UK troops in Iraq, and 60,000 people at Twickenham stadium for Help the Heroes, tried to make the Queen laugh with a potato, and had a pop at Prince Charles for parking outside his house at the Royal Variety Performance, but this is Rhod’s toughest challenge yet.
In his own words, “I’m well up for trying different things and this seems to be a monster challenge. Everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer and I’m really pleased to be able to contribute, and ensure that the Trek of a Lifetime raises a significant amount for Velindre Cancer Centre. There is room for others to join me, so if you fancy 5 nights of freezing temperatures, strange food and a midnight trek of 16 hours, this is the trip for you!”
The Kilimanjaro Trek of a Lifetime participants will be taking on this grueling challenge to raise funds for Velindre Cancer Centre. Money used from the trek will be spent ensuring the best possible care, support and treatment for patients and their families dealing with cancer.
